PLEASE READ THE ABOUT MAUGEE SECTION FIRST!  Once you've read that, you're ready for the rest of the site.  :)  This is (or will be) a very lengthy document if read from beginning to end -- I'll be updating this journal every day with all the details of Maugee's journey from being neglected and fearful to healthy and sociable.  It also stands as a journal of Maugee's life, which I can treasure for years to come.  If you're not interested in all the details, you can click over to the other sections of the site, where you'll find more generalized accounts of Maugee's progress.  But if you're finding yourself in the same situation as I am, feel free to read through the journal entries one by one, and don't hesitate to e-mail me if you need some advice or a friend to talk to during this difficult process.  Too many unwanted, un-cared for iguanas die or are given away every year.  This site is my statement to those of you who have found yourselves with a very hard to care for iguana because of your lack of time, space, or otherwise.  You can turn the situation around and even learn a thing or two from it, no matter how set-in-his/her-ways your ig may be.  They're intelligent, adaptable creatures, and they will learn to love you (or at least tolerate you) if you work hard enough.
